This is a dazzling Ruby Red Carnival glass shoe ring jewelry holder or toothpick holder.
The glass is a clear bright red. The medium carnival finish radiates a warm rainbow of colors, and lets the natural beauty of the glass shine through.
It has an ornate design around the back and across the toe, as well as a large bow embossed in the glass.
Stands 2-1/2" high and is 5" long.
Mosser Glass has discontinued making these slippers. They have become hard to find in certain colors.
I believe these shoes were used as toothpick holders and salt dip at meals in a more elegant era. They make wonderful ring and jewelry holders.
In mint condition. An excellent example of hand made pressed glass.
