    Description

Magnum III Plus 49cc Power Heads Parts Manual Osceola Power Equipment Co.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
    INTRODUCTION
This product has been designed to give the best possible drilling performance under all
possible ice conditions. Through improved technology it is possible to use a smaller, light-
veight and more efficient engine to produce approximately the same performance as the
arger and heavier units. Field test results in approximately 20" of ice show that the Mag-
num III PLUS cuts at 80-90% of the cutting speed of larger units.
Although this product may appear it could be used as a post hole digger, it can not. This
product is designed and manufactured only for the use as an ice auger. If you would like
information on EARTH AUGERS please contact: OSCEOLA POWER EQUIPMENT CO.
This symbol points out important safety instructions which if not followed
could endanger the personal safety and/or the property of yourself and-
others. Read and follow all instructions in this manual before attempting to
    operate this product.
    ASSEMBLY
To assembie the Power Head to the auger:
    1. Remove the metric allen wrench that is attached to the top of the auger with tape.
    2. Insert allen wrench into the bolt at the top of the auger and remove by turning coun-
    terclockwise.
    3. Insert the shaft of the power head into the auger tube.
    4. Align the hole in the power head drive shaft with the hole in the auger shaft and insert
the screw. Tighten firmly, turning clockwise. There may be some "wiggle" in the con-
nection; this is OK. If the connection is too tight, dis-assembly may be difficult.
NOTE: It is advisable to lubricate the power head drive shaft before assembling. This will
allow for easier dis-assembly should service work be required.
    IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
    1. Read all instructions carefully.
    2. DO NOT use this product for other than its intended purpose.
    3. DO NOT use attachments other than those available from the manufacturer.
    4. DO NOT alter this product in any way.
    5. DO NOT continue to use this product in the event of mechanical or electrical failure.
    6. This product produces considerable cutting force that is felt by the operator. Make
sure your feet are firmly planted and the handles are held firmly while operating this
    product.
    7. During operation, the auger can possibly stop. Be prepared to release the throttle
    lever at all times.
    8. DO NOT allow children or adults under 100 lbs. to operate this product.
    PRE-START PREPARATIONS
    1. Mix oil with Unleaded grade gasoline (Leaded gasoline is an acceptable substitute).
Use a clean high quality 2-cycle oil. Disregard instructions on oil containers.
    2. DO NOT mix oil directly in engine fuel tank as this will allow oil to enter the carburetor
which may cause engine to be inoperative.
    3. DO NOT use Multi-viscosity oils. Such oils may not provide adequate lubrication and
due to additives may cause excessive plug fouling.
    4. Use only fresh gasoline which is blended for the winter season.
    5. Measure oil carefully. Excessive oil in fuel may cause hard starting or no start, also
    excessive smoke and plug fouling.
    FUEL MIXING
To assure thorough mixing of oil and gasoline: Fill container to ¼ full with gasoline, add
oil per chart below. Shake container vigorously and then fill the remainder with gasoline.
Once oil and gasoline have mixed, they will not separate. Use an approved clean con-
    tainer.
