    Description

    CALLING ALL HEARTIES!!!!!
This RARE "Barnbill" is from the WORLD PREMIERE performances of "When Calls the Heart: The Musical", which ran at The Round Barn Theatre in Nappanee, Indiana from May 6 - July 17, 2021. The venue is a very quaint (less than 500 seats) theatre located inside a barn structure, so the number of playbills is very limited.
    From the venue's website:
"Based on the beloved series by Janette Oke, "When Calls the Heart The Musical: A World Premier" follows Elizabeth Thatcher as she makes her way from her wealthy, childhood home, across the rugged Canadian west to teach in a small, one-room schoolhouse.  Elizabeth's heart for teaching is challenged by various trials from her pupils, her rugged surroundings, and by a handsome Canadian Mountie.  But her heart will only expand and grow to find that her calling is as vast as the beautiful Canadian frontier.  Created for stage by Bethany Crawford with music & lyrics by Christy Stutzman, this world premiere can only be seen at The Round Barn Theatre and is certain to become a favorite for years to come!"
From the review on the "Broadway World" website:
"I was blown away by the quality of the music, the story, and the cast of WHEN CALLS THE HEART THE MUSICAL. They've genuinely got something special and I know that these songs will become classic in time. Each scene was filled with love and care, and whether we as the audience were laughing or sharing in their heartfelt moments of yearning, hope, or realization, the emotional journeys of these characters felt genuine and earned."
