The M1083 Standard Cargo Truck is designed to transport cargo and soldiers. It has a payload capacity of 10,000 pounds and to facilitate loading/unloading the bed side rails are mounted on hinges. The cargo bed can be equipped with an optional bench seat kit for transporting soldiers, the seat being constructed of a non-wood material and attaching to the cargo bed side rails. The seats can be folded down and stowed when not in use. A ladder is provided to help soldiers climb in and out of the cargo bed area and it stows on the vehicle when not in use. A canvas and bows kit is provided to keep soldiers and cargo protected from the elements. The M1083 can be equipped with a self-recovery winch capable of fore/aft vehicle recovery operations. The winch has 280 feet of line capacity and 15,500 pounds bare drum line pull at 110% overload. Model Information 460+ parts Includes Photoetch Detailed multi-directional slide-moulded cab.
